Dr. Sanjeeta N. Ghimire joined Florida Polytechnic University as an assistant professor of civil engineering in August 2024. Before joining Florida Poly, she worked at Western Illinois University (WIU) for three years as an assistant professor of civil engineering.

Ghimire’s expertise spans critical areas such as dam and spillway safety, hydrology, water resources, machine learning, climate change and sustainability. She likes to spend time reading, researching, and addressing complex challenges in the field of her expertise. She enjoys teaching and prioritizes student-involved research. In her personal time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
